Energy Efficient Green Windows
Supreme offers several solutions for Energy Efficiency and Savings
Windows that are carefully selected and properly installed can yield tremendous savings in your Heating, Cooling, and Lighting costs. First and foremost ALL Supreme Aluminum windows feature Double pane insulated glass.
Other Energy Efficiency options Include both Low E and Argon Gas.
- Low-Emissivity Window Glazing or Glass (Low E)
- Low E Coatings control heat transfer through windows with insulated glass. Low E can reduce energy loss by as much as 30-50%.
- Low E is virtually invisible metallic oxide layer deposited directly on the surface of a pane of glass. This layer is designed to keep the hot air out in the summer, and keep the warm air in during the cold winter.
- Argon Gas is used as an Insulator between two pieces of sealed glass. Gas is heavier then Air so when Argon fills the space between the two pieces of glass in an insulated unit it provides a better insulation from the outside elements.
